Out of the museum to find Jakobskirche, the church with the twin pointy towers often used in pictures of Köthen; and St Agnes, Bach's less photogenic church on the edge of town. St Agnes was fronted by the inevitable building works, and was locked, of course (a pity; it has an altarpiece by Lucas Cranach the Younger). Took some photos of the Bach statue in Schulstraße, surrounded by local cars.

Köthen seemed deserted, except in one fairly main street which I found eventually. I took my last photo outside as the clock of St Agnes struck 5:00. Stopped for tea and a cake in a cafe/backerei, and took the final image of the day of the Jakobskirche through the raindrops on the window. People were setting up a funfair in front of the church anyway, so even if the sun had been shining...
