High Offices

High Offices. I assume this building near Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is an office block – there's no clue at ground level. In any case it was an unmissable subject for me. Every window – with its leafy balcony panel harking back to an earlier period – is identical. And yet each is different: in its reflection, its blind, its shadows. I adjusted the gently converging verticals of the original using Photoshop, as if it had been shot with a tilt-shift lens. It's almost full frame, but the crop is carefully chosen (as always). Is it an architectural shot? A pattern picture? An abstract? That enigma is why I like the result!
