Lichtenstein Ladies

Lichtenstein Ladies. Through much of 2015 the Museum of Modern Art (MUMOK) in Vienna presented 'Ludwig Goes Pop', a large exhibition of the pop-art collection of the German industrialists Peter and Irene Ludwig. Here on the top floor were two of Roy Lichtenstein's vibrant 'Ben-day dots' paintings flanking a lifelike 1974 Duane Hanson sculpture called 'Woman with a Purse'. Beautifully arranged and an unmissable shot! I had the old manual focus 20mm lens on the camera, and was delighted when another visitor stood on the edge of my frame facing into the picture. In competition the judge wanted me to lose the chair on the right hand edge (tricky as it's casting a shadow on the wall), but also thought that the 'Woman with a Purse' was real.
