Die Wuppertaler Schwebebahn. A short video (2m 37s) featuring the Schwebebahn – the suspended overhead railway – in the German town of Wuppertal, about 40km NNE of Cologne [Köln]. Now using quite modern rolling stock, the Schwebebahn has been running since 1901 and remains an essential part of Wuppertal's transport system, carrying some 85,000 passengers a day with only a few of them being tourists and trainspotters. Much of the route is built over the river, as you can see in the video.
