Mirrors

Mirrors. There are interesting photo opportunities everywhere in the dome of the Berlin Reichstag – home of the Bundestag, the German parliament – which was designed by British architect Norman Foster and completed in 1999. I prefer the tight crop of this wide-angle shot with an 18mm lens (27mm equivalent) to the more spacious view that I also took with a 12mm lens. I went for absolute symmetry in the structure, with the people far below the only variation. Pushed the contrast a bit in monochrome but made sure there's nothing quite white. Virtually no crop; only few pixels from one side.

There are some details of my 2012 visit to the Reichstag on my Grand Tour blog.
