Schloss Charlottenburg, Berlin
Schloss Charlottenburg, Berlin. On a brief visit to Berlin in January 2013 I called in to the Schlossgarten to see what the snow had made of it – there had been fine but persistent snow every night of my visit. There was almost no-one in the gardens apart from a few tentative joggers, and I spent an hour enjoying the white-out peace of these gardens on the edge of the city centre. Finally returning to Schloss Charlottenburg itself I lined up this delicate wideangle shot (25mm equivalent) vanishing off towards infinity. In competition the judge didn't like it, at all.
Technical: NIKON D300, f=17.0 mm, ISO800, 1/320 sec @ f8.0
