‘A Walk by the Thames’
Pictures of City Hall, London, on the south bank of the River Thames near Tower Bridge in London, and some of the shapes and buildings around it. Further west is the Millennium Bridge, known when it was first built as the Wobbly Bridge, for obvious reasons, which connects Tate Modern to the approach to St. Paul's Cathedral. This session was really an initial test of my then very new Nikon D100, in September 2003, but was also my first visit to City Hall and turned out to be an extremely pleasant day.
I'd actually started the walk at London Bridge, walked along the north bank past the Tower to Tower Bridge, spent a while at City Hall, walked along the south bank to the Millennium Bridge with a brief detour to Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market, across the bridge to St. Pauls (no pics as there was scaffolding) and finished at the Bank of England.
