In My Frame
On an otherwise dull and drizzly day in Paris, on the way back from my 2011 visit to Berlin and Leipzig, the sun came out briefly as I approached the Louvre, via the Cour Carrée to the eastern side of the main square. The Pyramide du Louvre hadn't even been thought of the last time I was here – in the 1970s – and it was good to see it for real at last. Naturally I appreciated a fellow photographer stepping in front of me just as I'd lined up my shot, and I managed to get him dead centre before he moved on. I would have preferred not to have the people in dark clothes either side, but at least they match and nicely frame the main subject.
